Job Summary:
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports. Responsibilities include building data models, optimizing data pipelines, gathering business requirements, collaborating with teams, ensuring data quality and compliance, and supporting Power BI tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain BI solutions:
Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business decisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders:
Gather and interpret data requirements from business and operational leaders to align with business processes and objectives.
Manage data and processes:
Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, refine data models, and ensure the accessibility and timeliness of data.
Ensure compliance and quality:
Adhere to internal IT policies, data privacy, and regulatory requirements. Perform reviews to identify gaps and implement improvements.
Provide support and training:
Offer troubleshooting support for Power BI issues and provide training to users on how to navigate and utilize the tools.
Manage projects:
Oversee the lifecycle of data visualization projects from inception to deployment.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience developing Power BI dashboards in an enterprise environment.
Technical skills:
Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Experience connecting to various data sources, such as cloud databases (e.g., Databricks).
Strong SQL skills, including writing queries with joins.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts such as ETL, star schemas, and relationships.
