What you will do

Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.

Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.

Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on‑time delivery goals.

Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.

Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.

Partner with project managers and factory support functions to improve and modify the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.

Support program contract proposals, business case development for future investments, supplier assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.

Qualifications you must have

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Preferred majors: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering.

Minimum of 5+ years of applicable experience.

Experience with CAD software.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with simulation modeling and capacity analysis.

Experience with factory layout and work cell design/optimization.

Experience with project management.

Experience with CAD software.

Six Sigma certifications.

Salary range: $82,000 – $164,000 USD.
