Electrical Engineer 1 (Disruptive Systems) (Onsite) Location:

Compensation:

$55,000 – $107,000 USD (estimate)

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, invites applications for an Electrical Engineer to join the Disruptive Systems Technology Team. The role focuses on developing innovative signal processing, networking, and RF solutions for defense customers.

What You Will Do

Design and develop innovative solutions for communication, navigation, radar, and electronic warfare applications.

Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and multi‑disciplinary partners to identify and implement effective solutions.

Contribute technical presentations that articulate design approaches and project relevance.

Assist in design and development of low TRL programs, ensuring performance goals and IP protection.

What You Will Learn

Familiarize with aerospace/defense design, modeling languages, and tools.

Develop skills in interdisciplinary teamwork, communication, and presentation for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Gain insight into Collins Aerospace products and the Disruptive Technologies Team.

Qualifications – Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (TS/SCI); U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications – Preferred

Experience with Digital Signal Processing, FPGAs, embedded processors, communications, radar systems.

Proficiency with Matlab, Simulink, VHDL, Python, C/C++ and embedded integration.

Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, object‑oriented design, multithreading.
