JOB SUMMARY: This position works within Danone North America's Quality & Food Safety Department and cross functionally within the Nutricia North America organization to ensure Quality and Food Safety of raw materials and packaging and to ensure suppliers are compliant with internal and external requirements. This role will manage 3rd party certifications programs such as organic, gluten-free, and non-GMO certifications, will perform artwork and label reviews, support manufacturing operations and co-man quality. Other responsibilities include enhancement of the quality management system and monitoring of QFS performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct activities associated with the supplier and material qualification approval process, such as supplier documentation reviews, audits and implementation of corrective actions, food safety validation and approvals, item code approvals, specification reviews and approvals.

Supplier quality continuous improvement, problem solving, resolution of supplier issues and claims, follow-up on issues to ensure appropriate corrective actions are complete.

Reporting and supplier scorecard management.

Manage 3rd party certification programs such as organic, gluten-free, and non-GMO.

Stay current with all key regulatory and certifying agency guidelines and relevant Danone standards.

Perform artwork reviews to ensure accuracy of and compliance to QFS-related items and certification status.

Ensure manufacturing specifications reflect the certification and artwork requirements of the material.

Support manufacturing operations and co-man quality by conducting product evaluations and coordinating product testing.

Write and implement QFS programs and procedures. Adapt Global Danone standards to the local quality management system and train relevant personnel. Be the NORAM point of contact for global standards and provide feedback to the global standard owners for continuous improvement.

Gather & trend performance data (complaints, holds, etc). Work with key contacts to drive improvement.

Facilitate complaint investigations and perform product evaluations, as needed.

Partner with Nutrition Services to help with quality related questions & inquiries and manage Customer and/or Sales inquiries.

Manage FDA complaints.

All other duties as assigned.

TRAVEL Estimated at ≤25%

Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $105,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. About You MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Science/Food Science/Technology or similar major

5+ years of combined experience with food, ingredients, quality and manufacturing

Solid understanding of Quality Systems, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance and current Food Regulations.

Basic understanding of plant production systems, manufacturing equipment, GMP, SPC, sanitation and EHS.

Basic auditing ability and willingness to further auditing skills.

Previous experience or ability to acquire working knowledge of SAP and/or similar ERP databases

Previous experience or ability to quickly acquire knowledge on 3rd party certifications such as organic, gluten-free, and Non-GMO.

Trained in SQF or FSSC (GFSI) auditing schemes.
