We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor who will oversee the team members on the production lines in a union environment. This role will support our iconic Butterfinger brand. The Production Supervisor supervises manufacturing operations and supports staff with an emphasis on teamwork, safety, and sanitation. This role reports to the Production Manager and will support the execution of the production plant by leading the line team in operational activities. You will be the point person during your assigned shift and ensure that the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment are available and properly utilized to perform production tasks effectively. In this role you will be instrumental in ensuring that our quality standards and continuous improvement enhance our production efficiency while taking things to the next level.
Main Responsibilities
Guarantee that all hygiene and safety standards on the lines are respected through information training on safety issues in the workplace
Responsible for the implementation of activities ensuring the quality of the product and production process of the lines
Observes HACCP directives within area of competence
Provide consultation to the Manager and HR for the guideline and definition of the skills development necessary for the line resources responsible for the execution application of the guidelines
Responsible for daily activities associated with the optimization of the production factors material method labor force and machineries
Responsible within the shift for all production phases within their area of competence
Updates the SOP and other procedures based on the information provided by the operators and management
Support the handover between the workers at shift change
Request maintenance intervention and verify activities are performed in the scheduled time and according to hygiene and safety standards
Support in the development of improvement initiatives
About You
Bachelor's Degree preferred
At least 3 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, stock management and production models
Strong experience in the application of production performance analysis methods
Strong data analysis skills, ability to troubleshoot technological problems and knowledge of production scheduling
Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills with the ability to direct production employees in a proactive and positive manner
Proficient with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus
Compensation Data The base salary range for this position is $71,000- $95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
