Overview
Project Manager located in Montgomery, with management of projects within 1 hour of the Montgomery office. Full-time position with benefits, growth opportunities, and competitive pay. The company specializes in Electrical Construction, Industrial/Commercial Electrical Service, and Electrical Preventative Maintenance. Pay range: $85,000-$130,000 base with potential bonuses. Responsibilities
Account Management - Lead efforts to maintain long-term owner-direct relationships with new and assigned key accounts. Estimating - Lead/assist with preconstruction activities required to backlog future work. Purchasing - Issue purchase orders for equipment, materials and subcontractors in a timely manner that supports the project schedule. Scheduling - Develop plans detailing tasks, resources, and timelines; coordinate with field superintendents, clients, general contractors, and subcontractors to meet completion timetables; ensure subcontractors are scheduled as required by the scope of work. Manpower management - Work with trade superintendents to ensure adequate workers and expertise; maintain a manpower projection sheet for field planning. Quality management - Ensure labor and materials meet client specifications; conduct site visits, review drawings and specifications, and communicate effectively with the client. Managing margins - Complete monthly billings, monthly job cost reports, and monthly manpower requirements to maintain profit margins per estimates. Project closeout - Prepare final as-built drawings, develop operation and maintenance manuals, establish warranty dates, complete punch lists, and collect final billings. Qualifications
Ability to coordinate effectively between electrical and other trades. 3 years of electrical project management or general project management experience preferred; or 8 years of electrical field experience. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic and willingness to teach assistant project managers and field employees. Ability to multi-task responsibilities. Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and project management platforms (e.g., Procore); ability to learn new software. A Journeyman or contractor’s license is preferred but not required. Pass background check and drug screen. Work Location
