Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a high‑volume food manufacturing environment. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, product quality, workforce safety, and employee engagement within a fast‑paced processing department.

Job Duties

Lead and coordinate daily production activities to maintain efficient workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to production schedules.

Manage staffing levels, monitor labor costs, and ensure department operations align with budgetary goals.

Train, develop, and coach team members to promote skill growth, accountability, and consistent performance.

Foster a positive and respectful workplace culture that emphasizes communication, teamwork, and employee relations.

Review production data and reports to assess performance metrics, efficiency, and compliance with established standards.

Ensure full compliance with all company procedures and regulatory requirements including GMPs, SOPs, SQF, HACCP, and food safety programs.

Collaborate with Quality Assurance, R&D, and Sanitation teams to maintain product quality and resolve production challenges.

Support safety initiatives by enforcing safety policies, participating in investigations, and implementing corrective actions.

Administer employee attendance, timekeeping, and corrective actions in coordination with HR as needed.

Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in meat or protein processing.

At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a production environment.

Proven leadership skills in team development, performance management, and employee engagement.

Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and other regulatory standards in food processing.

Experience working under FDA or similar regulatory oversight preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and production reporting systems.

Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to lead diverse teams.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
