Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Essential Job Functions
Read, interpret and follow manufacturing documentation including prints and routers to ensure the production of conforming products.
Set up and operate manual and automated equipment for chemical processing, media blasting, cleaning, priming, adhesive application and other related preparation activities.
Perform cleaning of product as necessary.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and proper movement and control of product.
Ensure all equipment and materials used to perform job functions are compliant to procedures.
Proactively improve area processes, procedures and documentation through Kaizen activities and collaboration with area leadership and Engineering.
Responsible for the proper storage and disposition of hazardous waste.
Perform all required preventative maintenance activities.
Aid in preparation for and participate in all required area audits.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Other assignments as required.
Qualifications
Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
Able to communicate effectively with management and co‑workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.
Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed.
Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required.
Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing Work Instructions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook.
Self‑motivated and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
Ability to carry/lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.
Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Work Experience
2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar work environment.
2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
