Overview

Logistics Operations Manager role at Baker Hughes. The position is responsible for leading and optimizing logistics operations across North America, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. This role serves as a strategic partner to Supply Chain, Commercial, Project Management, Procurement, and Transportation teams, and acts as the primary logistics point of contact for regional initiatives. The position operates as an individual contributor with no direct reports. Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate logistics operations across all transport modes—Air, Sea, Courier, Land, and Project—ensuring timely and compliant execution. Act as regional logistics focal point, working with Shipping Managers, Transportation and Customs teams, and other cross-functional partners to ensure seamless logistics operations. Support logistics for capital projects, including oversize and break-bulk freight, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. Design and oversee domestic transportation networks, including milk-run and shuttle services, and implement consolidation programs to reduce costs. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, international trade laws, and internal policies. Support the implementation and optimization of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and integration with logistics dashboards and performance analytics. Collaborate with the Logistics Center of Excellence (CoE) to enhance processes, procedures, and reporting capabilities. Monitor logistics performance using KPIs, cost analysis, and operational metrics; deliver actionable insights for continuous improvement. Engage with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Review and approve logistics invoices in accordance with company policies. Assist HQ Logistics Sourcing in GSA negotiations when required. Drive lean initiatives focused on process simplification, automation, and cost efficiency. Maintain proper documentation to support compliance and audit readiness. Champion Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards across all logistics activities. Provide leadership and mentorship to logistics staff, fostering a culture of development and operational excellence. Qualifications

Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience, preferably in the energy sector. Possess at least 10 years of experience managing logistics for capital projects. Have a minimum 3 years in leadership roles with proven team development and performance management. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, domestic transportation networks, and TMS systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Work Environment and Benefits
