Full time, 36 hours/week, Non-Exempt Schedule:
7:00 pm - 7:30 am, 12 hour shifts, variable scheduled days The intensive care unit specializes in caring for a highly critical and diverse patient population, including level 2 trauma, neuro, medical, and surgical cases. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary care delivery model, with a strong focus on sepsis care. As a nurse in this unit, you’ll have opportunities for professional growth through credentialing in areas such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Intracranial Pressure Monitoring, and Targeted Temperature Management.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments and communicate findings to the healthcare team. Develop individualized care plans considering medical, cultural, social, and developmental factors. Deliver nursing interventions in alignment with policies, patient needs, and care goals, including emergency response. Involve patients and families in care, promote self-care, and support education based on learning readiness. Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, education, and outcomes. Communicate clearly and effectively using SBAR, providing timely updates and coordinating with the team. Demonstrate leadership through evidence-based practice, mentoring, and effective charge nurse responsibilities. Support a safe care environment by following infection control practices and equipment safety protocols. Manage time and resources efficiently, including cross-training, floating, and maintaining supply levels. Actively engage in professional development and contribute to unit-based improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BSN) or non-nursing bachelor’s degree with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) and graduates of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply; ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS). Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon. One year of RN staff nurse experience.
