Instructional Design and eLearning Specialist
Position Title: Instructional Design and eLearning Specialist Job Description The Instructional Design and eLearning Specialist will work as part of a team to develop, deliver, and support online programs at the University of Tulsa. This role focuses on designing and supporting courses within the online programs, acting as the conduit between faculty subject matter experts and course development within the LMS. Online Course Design Expertise
Collaborate with faculty on designing, developing, and launching online courses. Recommend effective and creative use of technologies to enhance instruction and create new learning environments. Partner with faculty in producing multimedia content, including audio, video, and graphics for online delivery. Conduct course quality reviews, provide improvement recommendations, and promote best practices in online teaching and learning. Stay informed about emerging technologies and their application to online instruction, and recommend adoption when appropriate. Collaboration and Teamwork
Work with the instructional design team to follow the online course development process, track progress and timelines, and ensure courses meet internal standards for design, interaction, accessibility, and engagement. Assist faculty in preparing for online and blended teaching through consultations, training, documentation, and coaching. Special Considerations
This position offers a remote work option, allowing you to work from home. Required Qualifications
Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Multimedia production skills, such as video production and editing. Experience in project management, including managing time, priorities, responsibilities, and meeting deadlines. Previous teaching experience. Knowledge of multiple LMS platforms and online learning tools. Preferred Qualifications
