Job Summary Directly responsible for the successful operation of Dining Services, ensuring client/customer satisfaction, efficient cost‑effective management, and continuous improvement of foodservice activities (care, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control).
Key Responsibilities
Manage salaried managers and hourly associates in the Food Service Department.
Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
Interview, hire, train associates; assign work; appraise performance; address complaints and resolve problems.
Prepare and manage the annual budget.
Utilize company systems for required reports (inventory, cash, production, payroll/time‑keeping, etc.).
Oversee preparation and service of food and beverage items in adherence to company standards, including HACCP, OSHA guidelines, and portion control.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. plus four years experience.
5–7 years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge.
Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
Previous P&L or contract‑managed service experience preferred.
Strong supervisory, leadership, coaching skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational proficiency.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, Internet).
ServSafe® Certification.
