The inn offers 114 rooms and suites with river views, a fitness center, and the ALBA Restaurant. The property hosts three private rooms for banquets and catered events. This role requires high energy, attention to detail, a welcoming personality, and a friendly demeanor. To be successful as a Server at the Alba Restaurant located inside the River Terrace Inn, you must possess prior restaurant serving experience, professional appearance and attitude, familiarity with restaurant terminology, and the ability to respond and interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner. A flexible schedule is required. Responsibilities
Service Leadership:
Lead by example in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests; ensure service standards, steps of service, and guest satisfaction goals are consistently met. Team Support & Training:
Train and mentor new servers on menu knowledge, service techniques, and POS system use; act as the first point of contact for server questions or guest concerns during shifts. Operational Duties:
Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including section setup, side work, and shift checklists; coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow; monitor table assignments and assist in managing guest seating when necessary. Guest Experience:
Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly; maintain awareness of VIP guests, dietary restrictions, and special events. Quality & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards; support management in inventory, restocking, and ordering supplies as needed. Qualifications & Requirements
We are seeking individuals with a positive, service-driven attitude who are committed to creating exceptional experiences for guests. Must have prior restaurant serving experience, professional appearance and attitude, familiarity with restaurant terminology, and the ability to respond to guests in a professional and friendly manner.
