The role is for a Software Developer in Test on the Detections Platform team. The candidate will validate cloud-side software that informs the endpoint agent and endpoint-side code that issues queries and processes responses. The role involves building an end-to-end validation pipeline, leveraging existing frameworks, and extending testing as needed, within a culture that prioritizes quality. Travel may be required for in-person meetings; CrowdStrike is remote-friendly and supports flexible work arrangements. What You’ll Do
Both build stuff and break stuff Verify component, system integration and application-level features to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance Participate in code and design reviews and provide technical guidance Review engineering technical design documents and requirements; advise on testability Continuously improve end-to-end test and validation processes Increase and improve automated test coverage and contribute to tools and frameworks Leverage open-source solutions to build new testing tools Improve product quality across the platform and applications Collaborate to determine root causes of production outages and implement quality improvements Occasional travel for in-person meetings What You’ll Need
5+ years of experience as an SDET or Backend Developer (combined) 2-3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product Strong debugging skills to spot design flaws, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks Computer science background or equivalent experience Experience building, validating, and/or maintaining large distributed systems at scale Solid design and problem-solving skills; focus on engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication across engineering teams Experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Elastic Search, or similar technologies (at least one) Humility and a good sense of humor Bonus Points
