Community Asphalt, founded in 1980 as an asphalt paving contractor and part of OHLA USA since 2006, operates in South Florida with facilities in Miami-Dade, Fort Myers, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach. The company provides paving services, grading, milling, surveying, excavation, hauling, drainage, utilities, base finishing, highway sweeping, and related contracting, design and build, and PPP services for transportation infrastructure, parking areas, industrial and retail complexes, and airport runways.

Summary Our company has an immediate opening for a

Dump Truck Driver

in

Miami, FL . The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, economical movement of material year-round between locations and for keeping equipment clean and in serviceable condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate dump truck safely and efficiently on public highways and in off-road environments to deliver asphalt or aggregate material into asphalt pavers, wideners, stone boxes, storage bins, or stockpiles.

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues to the shop manager.

Adhere to all DOT rules and regulations in addition to company policies.

Attend safety training and toolbox meetings hosted by the Truck Base Manager of the Fleet Department.

Load, unload and protect cargo while adhering to all safety protocols.

Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

May work more than 40 hours per week with day and night shifts; weekly schedules can include weekends.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have a current valid Driver's License and maintain valid throughout employment.

CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) without an air brakes restriction.

Clear MVR not to exceed points outlined in the Company Vehicle Policy.

Ability to communicate with mechanics and supervisors to perform job functions and report any mechanical issue.

Must be over the age of 21 years old.

Ability to work flexible schedules such as nights, weekends, and overtime.

Pass drug test, fit-for-duty test, background check, and clearance with FMCSA.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods.

Climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and walking.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs over a distance of at least 10 feet.

Work Environment

Outdoor construction sites with exposure to various weather conditions, heat, dust, noise, and uneven terrain.

Noise levels associated with heavy equipment operation.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Possibility of extended hours, including nights and weekends, depending on project needs.
