Clinical Director - Ellie Mental Health, Andover / Woburn
Seeking an innovative leader to run locally-owned mental health care practice. This is an opportunity to oversee Ellie Mental Health clinics in Andover and Woburn, MA. Ellie combines the safety, security, and support of a large organization with the creativity, flexibility, and compensation of a private practice.
As a Clinical Director at Ellie Mental Health, you will share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care and thrive in a values-driven environment. The Clinical Director is compensated (salary, commissions, and bonuses) for taking responsibility for the overall performance and operation of two practices with approximately 8–10 professional outpatient therapists at each location. The Clinical Director manages staff performance, hires and recruits clinical staff to meet staffing, revenue, and KPI needs, provides training and ongoing developmental support, and provides ongoing administrative and clinical oversight. The Clinical Director works collaboratively with the local management services organization (MSO).
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage clinical staff
Provide training, staff development, and administrative oversight to support the functioning of the clinic
Monitor and manage clinic office schedules and office supplies
Support billing, analytics, and liaison with billing company
Support community outreach and work with referral partners in the community
Manage staff performance to meet appropriate KPIs
Manage basic clinic human resources tasks
Ensure quality patient care while overseeing administrative and legal aspects of the facility
Maintain a client caseload of 12–15 clients per week
Supervision and Consultation
Provide supervision for pre-licensed and licensed providers in collaboration with other supervisors
Provide training and ongoing development support
Oversee twice-monthly group supervision to ensure clinical excellence and alignment with best practices
Provide clinical oversight to the clinic's Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers
Participate in CD Peer Consult Group
Conduct weekly or bi-weekly consultations with Assistant Clinical Director as needed (in clinics where role is applicable)
Provide 1:1 consultation with all therapy staff as needed to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation
Hold and document performance reviews with clinical staff
Clinical Director will consult with the practice's MSO regarding administrative, operational, and other non-clinical issues
Required Skills / Abilities
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment
Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, and Teams
Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record systems (Valant is a plus)
Ability to build and maintain a strong team culture
Ability to balance clients, supervision and administrative needs
Work in collaboration with Assistant Clinical Director(s)
Consult with the practice's MSO regarding administrative, operational, and other non-clinical issues
Requirements
Master's Degree or higher in a mental health discipline
Independently licensed with a Massachusetts clinical license (LMHC, LICSW, Psy.D., etc.)
Compensation:
$115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
