Organizational Overview California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is part of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). Pay Range and Benefits Part‑time (16 hours per week). Monthly salary 12,103.60 – 12,454.40. In addition, employees may be eligible for a $10,000 one‑time recruitment and retention stipend, a monthly retention differential during the first year (totaling $5,000), and a referral bonus ($5,000 for selected hires who remain employed 90 days). Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired with CCHCS.

Job Description & Duties

Work under the general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist (Sup) and serve as a member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team providing general population outpatient services to inmates.

Perform psychiatric evaluations for inmates as part of case management.

Participate in treatment planning and case reviews.

Prescribe medications for inmates.

Provide crisis intervention and psychotherapy.

Conduct consultations and training in treatment approaches for both clinical and custody staff of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.
