Overview We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Labor Relations Manager to lead and provide guidance on employee and labor relations activities including collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), employment laws, and organizational policies, conduct investigations, advise management on labor and contract issues, deliver training on labor relations and CBA interpretation, and ensures fairness, due process.
Responsibilities
Manage employee relations and investigations
– Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, policy violations, and grievances while ensuring due process, fairness, and consistency.
Serve as management's labor relations strategist
– Advise leadership on union matters, contract interpretation, disciplinary procedures, and CBA compliance to support sound decision-making.
Represent management in labor forums
– Act as the management representative in Labor‑Management Committees and serve as Hearing Officer for grievances to resolve disputes fairly.
Develop and deliver training
– Educate supervisors, managers, and leaders on labor relations best practices, collective bargaining agreements, progressive discipline, and effective employee communication.
Draft labor relations documentation
– Prepare disciplinary actions, grievance responses, settlement agreements, MOAs, and other official correspondence related to labor and employee relations.
Maintain compliance and documentation standards
– Audit case files for accuracy and legal compliance, maintain investigation and grievance tracking systems, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and safety protocols.
Analyze trends and mitigate risk
– Monitor patterns in disputes and complaints, recommend preventive measures, and uphold integrity and transparency in all labor relations activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. J.D. strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in labor relations, strongly preferred within the healthcare industry.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Pay Range USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
