Job Purpose Provide strategic and operational leadership for the company to ensure exceptional quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth. The Vice President of Operations oversees all aspects of operations, quality, and customer service to meet client needs, achieve financial goals, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Set annual revenue, production, and margin goals, establishing hiring and output metrics aligned with company objectives.

Oversee day-to-day operations across metal fabrication, welding, shipping and receiving, customer service, quality, and powder coating departments to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Evaluate the current client base and book of business to identify growth opportunities—expanding into new industrial and commercial markets.

Hire, train, and mentor key staff.

Provide leadership and coaching on project estimating, client relations, job costing, and new business development.

Implement process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and throughput using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards (including OSHA and industry‑specific powder coating and metal fabrication requirements).

Work closely with Engineering and Machining leadership to maintain cross‑functional communication and streamline workflow.

Create and execute sales and production performance contests to encourage engagement and results.

Participate in candidate sourcing and workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing for growth and seasonal demand.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence across all departments.

Attend and facilitate business and production meetings to review performance metrics and align on strategic goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business leadership and/or management disciplines.

Minimum of 10 years of business experience.

At least 4 years of leadership and management experience with a proven record of achieving results.

Demonstrated excellence in leadership.
