As a part of Walmart Enterprise Business Services, you will build industry defining reusable customer and partner facing services and products to drive differentiated experiences and revenue. You will operate in a Digital Transformation space to service both customers and associates across Walmart’s business segments. The ideal candidate has a strong software engineering background with broad frontend and backend expertise, experience leading full stack engineering teams, and experience deploying enterprise-grade solutions across large enterprise engineering and infrastructure teams. About the Role
Leads and directs large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, reviewing design artifacts, writing and developing code as needed, overseeing software design, and providing project leadership. Leads cross-functional groups of ten to twenty engineers (including offshore associates), providing direction and documentation. Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing information and determining possible root causes. Supports business objectives by collaborating with partners to identify opportunities and define priorities. Leads the discovery phase of large projects to develop high-level design with Product Management, Business, and User Experience teams. Partners with Engineering, Infrastructure, Infosec and Operations teams to create reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs. Evaluates ongoing effectiveness of current plans and initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met. Builds relationships with key stakeholders to implement business solutions. Defines vision and strategies for the engineering team, develops and manages the budget, and oversees contractor, vendor, and supplier onboarding. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations; fosters a diverse and inclusive team environment. What You Will Bring
A constant desire to improve, learn, and adopt the latest industry practices. Superior analytical skills with a strong problem-solving attitude. Must have 2+ years of experience leading teams and people in a technical capacity. Experience with agile frameworks and facilitating ceremonies. Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills. CI/CD experience including automated testing and a mindset to build self-testing code. Disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment. Experience building with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins and understanding deterministic functional testing and End-to-End automation. 10+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer across frontend and backend stacks. Strong design and architecture experience. Experience with messaging systems (Kafka and MQ). Cloud experience and building microservices, cloud-native applications; Kubernetes. Experience with large-scale high-availability applications, building resiliency, monitoring, and instrumentation. We’d Love to See
Experience with 4-in-the-box product leadership. Experience with GraphQL/Apollo and graph federation. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana. Cloud experience: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift; microservices architectures (REST); event-based architectures (JMS, Kafka, Active MQ, MQTT); stream technologies (Storm, Spark). Databases experience: relational (SQL Server, MySQL); NoSQL document stores (Azure Cosmos, Mongo, Cassandra). Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
