We are looking for a strategic and analytical

Demand Planner

to join our team, responsible for leading demand forecasting across our multi‑state footprint. This role will be building and managing forecast models that inform production, inventory, and sales planning across multiple product categories, including flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates.

This role is responsible for overseeing both retail and wholesale demand planning, ensuring alignment between dispensary‑level inventory needs and wholesale partner sales projections. The Demand Planner will collaborate cross‑functionally to anticipate demand across all channels, helping the business maintain product availability, minimize waste, and respond swiftly to market shifts. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, Excel‑savvy, and excited to navigate the complexities of state‑level cannabis supply chains.

Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates located in or near our operating states: IL, NJ, MA, OH, MI, PA, MD. Periodic travel may be required (up to 30%) primarily in IL, MA, and NJ.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage demand forecasts across multiple states and product lines, accounting for state‑specific regulations, sales velocity, and consumer trends.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Wholesale Sales, Retail Analytics Operations, and Production Planning) to align forecasts with supply plans and revenue goals.

Drive the monthly demand planning cycle as part of the S&OP process, providing clear visibility into demand drivers, risks, and opportunities.

Leverage historical sales data, market insights, and promotional activity to build forward‑looking forecast models at the SKU/state level for 3/6/9/12 month horizons.

Monitor and improve forecast accuracy by tracking key metrics (e.g., forecast bias, MAPE, attainment) and adjusting assumptions as needed.

Create tools and dashboards to visualize demand trends, inventory levels, and capacity constraints across the supply chain.

Coordinate with Compliance to ensure thorough knowledge of compliance rules and cannabis‑specific operational requirements, ensuring planning strategies adhere to state regulations (e.g., METRC limits, production caps, expiration guidelines, and regulatory protocols).

Support new product launches, limited‑time offers, and seasonal demand surges (e.g., 4/20, holiday promotions) through proactive planning.

Travel periodically (up to 30%) for in‑person meetings, facility tours, or S&OP sessions across our operating states.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) is a plus.

5+ years of demand planning or supply chain forecasting experience, ideally in cannabis, CPG, or regulated industries.

Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities; experience with ERP, forecasting, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, NetSuite, Anaplan, Tableau).

Familiarity with METRC or other cannabis compliance and inventory systems is highly desirable.

Must be comfortable managing demand plans that vary by state due to regulatory constraints, market maturity, and consumer preferences.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for executive stakeholders.

Skilled at staying organized while maintaining a sharp focus on accuracy.

Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.

This role provides exposure to senior leadership and cross‑functional operations, with potential for growth into wider supply chain or planning leadership roles.

Work Environment This position primarily performs duties in a remote office setting when not onsite in a dispensary or manufacturing facility environment.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to sit and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and/or touch. This position is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position is required to speak and listen regularly.
