Job Description Contractor (Engineer Level) is required to assist with implementing additional security features in Intune. The engineer will need to be highly skilled in Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and will need to have experience with migrating MCM to Intune with all policies and workloads. Current admins do not have the expertise to complete this project, so the engineer will also provide extensive support to both the Azure and Identity management teams. The role includes day‑to‑day support activities for 14 managed agencies and several non‑managed agencies, implementing MDM support in Intune, and collaborating with an Intune engineer on all existing and new security features as defined in our 24‑27 Intune roadmap.
Responsibilities
Manage and secure devices across multiple platforms and deploy/manage apps to ensure secure access to corporate resources.
Implement endpoint security policies (e.g., antivirus, encryption), conditional access, and compliance configurations.
Work with Azure AD, On‑Prem AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and other M365 services to provide unified management and enhance security.
Develop PowerShell/Bash scripts for automating tasks, optimizing deployments, and improving security compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents, provide major incident support, and guide less experienced team members.
Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures; generate reports to track usage, compliance, and risks.
Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to drive continuous improvement and stay informed about product developments.
Skills
Hands‑on experience in Microsoft Intune and M365 (including Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) – 3+ years required.
Experience with Hybrid‑Azure Joined domains – 3+ years required.
Strong knowledge of device management, security policies, and application deployment; proficient in PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation – 3+ years required.
Expertise in security practices such as device encryption, MFA, conditional access, and endpoint protection – 3+ years required.
Knowledge of M365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Graph API, and other M365 tools) – 3+ years required.
Microsoft 365 Certified (Endpoint Administrator, Azure Fundamentals, etc.) preferred.
Experience working in multinational teams, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills – required.
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, and understanding of M365 licensing and migrations – 3+ years required.
