Hill International is seeking a Site Assessment Project Manager in Los Angeles, California

Qualifications

Seven (7) years’ full-time paid experience in management of environmental investigations and remediation conducted under the direction of the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) or comparable regulatory agency

Experience in site investigation and remedial strategies, understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including protocols from DTSC, Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD)

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, preferably in Geology, Engineering, or a related field

California Professional Registration (Certified Hydrogeologist, Professional Engineer, or Professional Geologist) preferred

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000. The offered salary will depend on the applicant’s qualifications, education, experience, and work location.

Responsibilities

Review and coordinate work conducted by environmental site assessment contractors under Master Services Agreements, including:

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

Soils Disposition Evaluation (Compliance with Specification 01 4524)

Soils Evaluations (applicability of SCAQMD Rule 1466)

Health/Safety Risk Assessment

Preliminary Environmental Assessment

Remedial Investigation / Feasibility Study

Public Participation Plan

Preparation and implementation of Removal Action Workplans / Remedial Action Plans

Polychlorinated biphenyl survey and mitigation

Assist in contract development and oversight of remediation contractors

Establish and maintain project budgets and schedules related to environmental investigations and remediation

Provide technical advice to OEHS Management regarding oversight of site assessment contractors, budgets, and schedules

Coordinate environmental review processes with Facilities Services Division, including:

Project scheduling

Budgeting

School design and construction

Emergency response

Waste disposal

Demolition
