Overview
Advanced Environmental Group, Inc. (AEG) is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager with Environmental/Civil Engineering or Geology experience. The successful candidate will have 10 plus years of recent professional environmental consulting experience with technical responsibility in conducting site assessment and remediation activities. The candidate must possess a strong knowledge and experience in the following areas: all phases of environmental site assessment, remediation (in situ treatment and extraction technologies), risk assessment, building assessments, construction oversight, and field sampling (soils, groundwater, and surface water). Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of site investigation, remedial assessment, design, and action. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, project organization, project management including scope, accountability of cost, schedule, and budget. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with other managers, project engineers, and discipline to develop budgets, schedules, and comprehensive plans for various project components. Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the project\'s status to stakeholders. Offer technical support and provide mentorship to less experienced staff. Prepare and present technical papers and reports, including review and assist in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others. Maintain affiliation with professional societies and stay updated with state-of-the-art technologies. Serve as a technical expert within the organization. May act in an advisory capacity to executive team. Experience / Skills / Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrology, or civil engineering is REQUIRED with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience is REQUIRED. Appropriate related professional registration/certification (e.g., California Professional Geologist or Engineering license and/or California Certified Hydrogeologist) is PREFERRED. Experience with stormwater, environmental permitting, and compliance is PREFERRED. Must be able to act as the client manager for key clients or service areas. Local knowledge and regulatory experience preferable (Southern CA area). Requires demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills. Working Conditions
The position will include both office and field work. Required Driving
This position requires a current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffold; kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, twist, finger grasp and feel on a constant and repetitive basis; stand, walk, talk, see (20/20 vision naturally or corrected), hear within normal range and perform repetitive motion activities. Must be able to physically negotiate the hazards of a worksite (e.g. uneven surfaces, floor openings, heights, debris and limited lighting) and adhere to all company safety requirements.
