This engagement offers immediate scheduling needs, a steady patient volume, and strong specialty backup in a collaborative hospital environment. Opportunity Highlights Location: Wilson, North Carolina Contract Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP Duration: (2–6 months) Shifts Needed: 6–8 shifts per month, coverage most urgent for swing shift (9a–9p) Schedule: MD shifts – 7a–7p, 9a–9p, 7p–7a APP shifts – 6a–6p, 11a–11p, 12p–12a (Mon–Thurs), 6p–6a Annual ED Volume: 42,000 ED Beds: 26 | Hospital Beds: 100 Patient Volume: 1.6 patients/hour Trauma Designation: Not trauma designated Clinical Environment Staffing Model: 36 hours of physician coverage
42.7 hours of APP coverage per day Team Support: APPs on-site, specialty backup including Anesthesiology, Cardiology, General Surgery, Pulmonology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and more Supervision: Physicians provide oversight for APPs EMR: Meditech Code Response: HM team responds Candidate Requirements Board Certification: ABEM/AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM/AOBIM, or ABE–PEM accepted Experience: 1–3 years minimum EM experience preferred Licensure: Active North Carolina license (temps not available) Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS if not board-certified in EM Case Logs: May be required depending on certification and experience Credentialing: ~45 days | Hospital will process applications pending license Why Rhino?
