THE JOB: At MGM Resorts International, we create legendary experiences—not only for our guests, but for our employees. As a Senior Accountant – Contracts & Entertainment, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our entertainment and outlet operations through accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role combines analytical precision with the excitement of working behind the scenes of world‑class shows and experiences. This team works primarily in a remote capacity with occasional onsite days each month.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Prepare entertainment and managed outlet settlements, expense and reimbursement accruals, and payments in accordance with contract terms.
Record transactional activity timely and accurately in the general ledger.
Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations following GAAP and MGM Resorts policies.
Evaluate and implement internal controls to ensure efficient and compliant processes.
Provide financial reporting and analysis, both routine and ad hoc.
Participate in project implementation for systems or process improvements.
Mentor and provide guidance to accountants to support team growth and development.
Ensure compliance with SOX, gaming regulations, IRS, and other federal/state requirements.
Create a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, and employee satisfaction.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field required.
2+ years of accounting or audit experience required.
Proven ability to prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations and financial reports.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with all levels of management.
