Seaside by the Pier is a three-level restaurant located on the Santa Monica Pier. The concept features deli sandwiches for quick service and take out on the first level, casual dining with traditional American fare on the second level, and a rooftop bar on the third level overlooking the Santa Monica Pier. Position Summary

The Bartender contributes to the success of the Restaurant by serving Guests within the restaurant. The Bartender is responsible for delivering friendly, sincere service and ensuring an excellent Guest dining experience. The Bartender also provides friendly, efficient service to the Servers and Bussers. Essential Functions

The following responsibilities are indicative and may be supplemented by additional duties as requested by the Bar Manager. Collect money for drinks served. Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Balance cash receipts. Help limit problems and liability related to guests' alcohol consumption by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking or arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons. Serve wine, bottled or draft beer. Clean bars, work areas, and tables. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar. Order or requisition liquors and supplies. Manage guest interactions to maintain a safe and respectful environment. Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays. Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar. Supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders. Prepare appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats. Check I.D.s before serving guests. Employer Information
