Design, install, maintain, and support databases for IT systems in a hybrid infrastructure
Ensure databases are secured according to best practices and compliance frameworks
Analyze data feeds and logs to correlate data with known threats and incidents
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate security measures and harden databases
Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
5+ years of experience in database administration for IT systems in a hybrid environment
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity
Familiarity with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-92)
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for addressing security issues
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Prior experience in the health domain
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
Additional relevant certifications such as CISSP or CEH
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools related to database management
