Compensation:
$71,500 - $90,000

Position Snapshot:
The
Production Planner
plays a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing production workflows to meet the combined demands of safety stock, forecasting, and customer orders. This position ensures a responsive and customer-focused approach to service inquiries while driving on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory accuracy.

You thrive on balancing forecasts, inventory, and customer demand to build schedules that make sense and deliver results.
A day in the life:
Production Scheduling: Manage and adjust production schedules across multiple product lines to meet demand, material availability and labor capacity. Review daily output, determine bottlenecks, and evaluate inventory levels to maintain efficient operations. Monitor on-time delivery performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Order Management and Manufacturing teams to align production goals and resolve scheduling conflicts. Notify internal teams of updated shipping schedules and any modifications to lead times. Participate in daily and monthly production meetings to address issues such as material shortages, equipment downtime, and resource constraints. Order & Inventory Management:
Investigate missed shipments, identify root causes and work with teams to prevent future delays. Analyze planning parameters to balance delivery timelines, production efficiency and inventory levels. Lead order-related communications and activities for customer accounts. Process Improvement & Change Management:
Oversee implementation of Engineering Change Notices. Recommend adjustments to product lead time based on scheduling constraints. Identify opportunities to strengthen internal customer relationships and improve service levels. Team Support & Reporting
Participate in cross-training to support other Supply Chain roles as needed. Complete reporting tasks and other duties as assigned. Requirements
What you will need:
2+ years of Supply Chain/Production planning experience in a manufacturing environment Extensive working knowledge MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) systems required, SAP preferred Working knowledge of Bill-of-Material and Production routings preferred Intermediate MS-Office experience required, advanced experience preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills High level of proactive and organized work habits Analytical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to draw conclusions from data Demonstrate effective collaboration between teams and departments Ability to think and operate independently Perks of being part of our team:
