We are looking to add an Outside Sales Representative to our team to support growth in the Houston market. You will develop and maintain business relationships with customers in your assigned territory and help meet and exceed their requirements.
Responsibilities
Develops new business relationships with potential and existing customers and meets KPIs regarding prospecting and closing deals.
Understands customer business models and product needs.
Crafts solutions for customers that meet and exceed their requirements.
Prospect new clients in the assigned territory and expand sales with existing clients.
Act as a subject matter expert on all product lines and provide progress reports on territory opportunities for growth.
Respond to RFQs as necessary and collaborate with other teams on larger projects to ensure deliverables are met.
Pursue VMI opportunities and notify customers of signature brand products.
Work with core supplier target account programs by scheduling sales calls and presentations.
Maintain established margin objectives and encourage customer website usage.
Travel when necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The most qualified candidates will have CNC machining experience, or industrial distribution or supply chain experience.
Outside sales experience is required.
Must be age 21+ to drive a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Demonstrated experience managing and growing a sales territory and building relationships with key decision makers.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-directed with high productivity and organizational skills; able to plan and organize tasks to achieve goals while staying calm under pressure.
Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office and Teams.
Location & Requirements This job is based in the Houston, TX area; only candidates residing in the area will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
