Part-Time Data Entry Specialist - Medical Billing Support
Estimated Hiring Range: $18.45 - $22.55

Note: This remote position is responsible for some of the data submission and bill creation for Housecall Providers Care Mangement billing. It involves building the chart for this billing, scheduling the appointment, and sending the bill to the appropriate provider for review and sign-off.
This position averages 8 hours per week (0.2 FTE) and allows for flexible work hours. It includes one standing weekly meeting, scheduled based on mutual availability. While the role is remote, candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Portland.
Job Summary
This is an entry level position responsible for the timely and accurate data entry of Medicaid, Medicare, group, or individual information. Must meet or exceed quality and production standards.
Essential Responsibilities
* Perform appropriate and correct entry of department, provider, and member data, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Provide excellent customer service to internal and/or external customers based on department and company standards.
* Consistently meet or exceed department and company policies including but not limited to quality, production, attendance, conduct.
* Make determinations of eligibility, provider, and other information in accordance with departmental procedures and from reports.
* Utilize technology system effectively. Generate letters and/or faxes as appropriate.
* Demonstrate initiative in seeking and understanding needed information about policies and procedures.
* Document information as defined by department policies, which may include phone call tracking.
* Perform additional duties as needed.

* Health insurance experience, medical office experience, or related work experience

* Typing at 40 words per minute
