Grocery Manager Job Summary Assists in the management of the daily operations in the grocery department and supervises the grocery team with stocking and store conditioning. Increases customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent and compliant operating conditions. Provides fresh and appealing products, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service. Executes merchandising plans as outlined in department planners, toolkits or event packs. Supervises, trains, and develops associates on performance of their job and provides coaching as needed. Values diversity and supports an inclusive environment.

Essential Responsibilities
Assists in creating an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated, building and retaining customer confidence.
Ensures the department is merchandised per plan, meeting at shelf product availability, freshness, quality, and value.
Trains associates on freshness, inventory levels, stocking, ordering, and shelf conditioning.
Offers customer assistance in finding or suggesting products.
Assists in promoting trust and respect among associates, facilitating teamwork, and communicating company and departmental information.
Assists in establishing merchandising, sales, and profit goals and empowers the team to meet or exceed them.
Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks: communications, online training, scheduling, pricing changes, orders, etc.
Maintains awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and reports discrepancies.
Ensures food safety compliance, executes product recalls, reinforces safety programs, and reports safety risks.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School / GED (required).
0-3 years supervisory experience (preferred).
English (required); English & Spanish (preferred).
Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
Successful completion of pre‑employment drug testing and background check.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Strong customer service skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of basic math and proficiency with computer applications used in department operations.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of placement.

$67,600.00 – $70,200.00
