Westwood Public School seeks candidates of diverse backgrounds and experiences for the
Head Varsity Softball Coach
position for the 2025-26 school year.
Our School Westwood High School is a thriving community of hardworking and thoughtful students, families, and staff. With approximately 900 students in grades 9-12, the school maintains a small-school feel while offering a comprehensive array of academic programs, co-curricular activities, and support services. Qualifications
Previous Softball coaching or playing experience is desirable.
Previous experience in either high school, college or both is desirable.
Must be Concussion Certified
Must be CPR/AED Certified
Must have or obtain the MIAA Coaches Education Certification
Must communicate effectively with school admin, faculty, parents, and student-athletes
Should supervise student-athletes at all team events
Should promote a positive learning environment for all team members
Must have a flexible schedule for home games and buses for away games
Must communicate with athletic trainer concerning injuries and student playing status
