MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised ofa direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leadingindustry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products togive our customers insights into our entire portfolio.

PrincipalApplications Engineer PositionOverview: Test on aPNA or PNA-X, including using a probe station. Measure with load pull systems.Probe devices up to 120GHz. Design and build supporting hardware for MACOMproducts such as evaluation boards, reference designs, and applicationcircuits. Update data sheets with application-related information. Contributeto design reviews and other technical meetings. Creative, strong team playerwho enjoys solving technical problems. Set up equipment and measuring devicesin the lab. Create technical presentations, data packages, and other technicalcollateral to help customers. Heavily involved in customer calls, instillstrust and confidence, and are comfortable discussing technical issues. Prepareand present technical analysis/data to management as it pertains to customerinquiries. Mentor colleagues. Collaborate with the design team for new productreleases. Collaborate with the quality team to support any issues thatcustomers have. Travel required up to 25% for internal meetings and clientsites.

Job Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a directlyrelated field plus seven (7) years of engineering experience in thesemiconductor field.

Must have at least five (5) years of experience with the following:

- RF, Microwave, andMMW products. - Waveguide testcomponents. - Noise parameterextraction. - Pulsed IVmeasurements. - One of thefollowing EDA tools: Keysight ADS, Keysight EMPro, HFSS, AWR.

Alternatively, the employer will accept amaster's degree plus five (5) years of electrical engineering experience in thesemiconductor field in lieu of Bachelor's plus seven (7) years of engineeringexperience in the semiconductor field. Travel required up to 25% for internalmeetings and client.
