Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include monitoring and testing controls and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by evaluating data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.
Private Bank Controls and Supervision is engaged in executing a multi-year Private Bank Data Strategy and requires an individual with process and governance mindset to support the execution of data governance, reporting and workflow automation projects. Key responsibilities include managing the governance of reporting processes, data element classification, and software management controls ensuring adherence to various Enterprise policies and standards.
The individual should have a good understanding of data, data platforms and processes including data lineage and data health. He/she should be able to effectively engage various stakeholders from line of business, technology, and control partners to understand, prioritize and build out requirements and support their implementation. This role requires a blend of experience in process, governance, program management and stakeholder engagement. Ultimately, the objective is to meet evolving demands of our various partners while ensuring that the work aligns with our strategic goals and is executed within the Bank’s Risk Framework.
Responsibilities:
Supports the monitoring and testing of controls by evaluating data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation
Implements optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices
Executes initiatives by identifying areas of potential automation, procedural updates, thematic trends
Supports the overall management, monitoring and evaluation of data to support governance activities
Execute governance around reporting through supporting intake process (requirements build out, prioritization, stakeholder engagement), documentation and report inventory
Support regulatory, audit and internal business data needs, as necessary and ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management standards.
Engages with key stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver on business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a good understanding of reporting, analytical processes and data platforms including data lineage and data health.
Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise between line of business stakeholders and report developers to understand and enhance the requirements which would ensure quality deliverables are provided in a timely manner.
Must have a blend of strong organizational and communication skills, experience in stakeholder engagement, data and reporting and possess a strategic / risk-based mindset.
Must adapt to evolving data standards while ensuring work aligns with strategic goals and is executed within the Bank’s Risk Framework.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
Exposure to Tableau and/or Alteryx
Managing small to mid-size projects
Quick learner and flexible in adapting to new tools and technologies, processes, and business needs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Good documentation skills to capture requirements, processes, and results.
A strong desire to learn and drive operational excellence.
Experience on change management initiatives.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
