As a member of Johnsonville’s sanitation team, you’ll ensure all our facilities are cleaned in accordance with strict procedures to meet or exceed our high sanitation and food-safety standards. Working with chemicals, hoses, lifts and other equipment, you’ll ensure our facilities are ready for the next shift of production. Pay Range:

$26.06/hr - $28.05/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium Hours:

9:00pm - 5:30am; Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands)

Responsibilities

Prepare production equipment for cleaning by locking out machinery and covering all necessary electrical equipment with plastic.

Teardown equipment according to best practice within the department you work in to prepare for sanitation.

Proper handling and use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.

Dry clean, pre-rinse, foam, scrub, post rinse, wipe condensation, and sanitize production equipment, ensuring that all areas meet Johnsonville’s and USDA’s standards of acceptability.

Conduct environmental and bioluminescence swabbing.

Setup equipment according to best practice within the department you work in to prepare for production.

Must be able to complete sanitation and any necessary production documentation paperwork accurately.

Ensure timely completion of the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) tasks.

Experience

Sanitation experience preferred

Qualifications

Ability to work at heights that are above ground level.

Be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.

Have basic knowledge of Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in area of responsibility and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Must be dependable, honest, and proactive.

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Strong math background is required.

Must be able to become certified in chemical usage.

Willing to work in cold and wet conditions.

Must be willing to learn basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, etc.

Must be able to obtain forklift license and keep safe driving record.

Willingness to work extended hours including weekends.
