Description The Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions will serve as a strategic advisor and project manager supporting advisory firm transactions within the wealth management industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial advisory landscape, with a particular emphasis on advisor succession, mergers, acquisitions, and partnership structures. The individual will work cross-functionally with advisors, finance teams, lenders, legal counsel, and internal firm leaders to ensure transactions are thoughtfully structured, executed seamlessly, and integrated effectively into ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as a consultative partner to financial advisors and firm leaders through all stages of M&A activity, from initial valuation and deal design through post‑transaction integration.
Analyze firm structures, financial statements, and operating models to identify opportunities, risks, and optimal transaction frameworks.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including finance departments, legal teams, lenders, accountants, and executive leadership to coordinate due diligence, documentation, and funding.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables, ensuring all deal‑related milestones are met with precision and timeliness.
Translate complex financial, legal, and operational considerations into clear recommendations and actionable plans for decision‑makers.
Build dynamic financial models and scenario analyses in Excel to support valuation, deal structuring, and long‑term forecasting.
Maintain strong awareness of industry trends, advisor succession challenges, and evolving M&A best practices within the RIA and wealth management ecosystem.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate development, or M&A advisory within the wealth management, financial services, or RIA space.
Demonstrated experience partnering with financial advisors and firm executives on mergers, acquisitions, or succession transactions.
Strong Excel and financial modeling skills with the ability to analyze and communicate complex data clearly.
Exceptional project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills—able to balance multiple priorities across diverse stakeholder groups.
Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
Location / Schedule
This position will work in our Tampa, FL office. Remote work will be considered for well qualified candidates.
Working hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday with the option to work remote on Fridays
Occasional evening/weekend hours may be requested.
Ability to travel up to 25%
