Mackenzie Stuart are partnered with a leading Real Estate Investment platform seeking a high-calibre M&A Associate (14 years experience) to support the execution of acquisitions, strategic investments, and corporate transactions across their specialised asset class.

Working closely with senior leadership, the M&A Associate will play a critical role in underwriting, financial modeling, transaction execution, and market analysis to inform strategic, data-driven investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. Support all stages of the M&A process, including valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation support, and integration planning. Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, presentations, and internal committee materials. Conduct comprehensive industry, market, and competitor research to support strategic decision-making and deal sourcing. Assist in coordinating due diligence efforts across legal, financial, tax, and operational workstreams. Perform in-depth financial analysis, including comparable company/transaction analyses, sensitivity cases, and scenario planning. Collaborate with asset management and portfolio teams to evaluate performance, update business plans, and inform ongoing strategic initiatives. Support periodic forecasting, budgeting, and portfolio-level analytics related to existing and prospective investments.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field. 14 years of experience

in M&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or real estate investments. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills; advanced Excel proficiency required. Familiarity with real estate or infrastructure transaction dynamics considered advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to synthesize, interpret, and present complex information clearly and concisely. Strong work ethic, proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment. Progress toward relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
