The Network Analyst will independently provide IT networking and implementation, monitoring, and support functions for Merchants, including firewall and switch configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. In addition, this analyst will work with vulnerability and patch management and help with security recommendations. Effective communication and excellent customer service are equally important to technical skill and experience. The ideal person will deliver timely solutions the first time while leaving excellent impressions.
Requirements
Help design and implement network and communication system operations, planning and new implementations at remote sites as well as for application specific needs. Proactively monitor network firewalls, switches, access points, AWS and Azure cloud networks, and other network resources and applications for performance issues and to maintain network uptime. Respond and take appropriate actions to notify and remediate network outages. Proactively monitor and ensure all circuits and network equipment remain updated and operational to deliver maximum network uptime. Implement general IT security measures including cybersecurity preventative and incident response duties related to network infrastructure. Lead IT network projects and provide project updates to department managers. Help with patching and update support for Merchants’ network infrastructure. Help review and update IT network documentation, policies, and procedures. Stay engaged with industry standards and make recommendations for network improvements. Provide a root cause analysis (RCA) for any network equipment failures / interruptions.
Expected Experience, Skills, And Education
Requires a degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification. Requires 5 years of experience with networking at an enterprise level. Preferably experience with Palo Alto and Juniper equipment standards, including configuration and troubleshooting, as well as AWS and Azure cloud networking. Requires knowledge and enterprise level use of VPNs, SDWAN, and routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and static routing. Requires network support and documentation experience. 1 - 2 years of implementation experience with a SASE product, preferably Palo Alto, is a plus. Preferred general Systems Administration experience including applications and server management. IT Certifications focusing on network firewalls and switching are a plus. Preferred experience supporting a financial services organization.
