ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ for this on-site position. RMLS is the FAA’s logging system for recording maintenance work performed on facilities in the National Airspace System (NAS). RMLS provides a rich database of unstructured text; reading every log file. Responsibilities We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in test automation of web-based and mobile applications; API and performance testing experience is a plus. Provide expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and/or maintenance of complex computer systems. Experience with software programming in languages used for NAS and NAS-supported systems (e.g., C, C++, JAVA, SQL, and Assembly). Qualifications Citizenship/Permanent Residency Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA). Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years. The company is unable to sponsor candidates at this time. Relocation Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Education Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in math/statistics/computer science and seven (7) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field. OR Master’s Degree in any field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in math/statistics/computer science and five (5) years related work experience. Required Skills Proficient/Experienced in: C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; build and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks; design, develop, and execute automated test scripts; test automation for web applications; database development in Oracle/SQL; automation testing using Selenium and/or Playwright; writing/maintaining automated test documentation using NUnit, XUnit, and/or MSTest; cross-browser and responsive testing. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; troubleshoot and isolate defects; communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Preferred Skills Prior FAA test experience. Experience with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr) and API testing (Postman, RestSharp, Swagger). Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter); security and accessibility testing practices. DevOps/CI-CD workflows (Jenkins) and experience with BDD frameworks for .NET (e.g., Specflow or Gherkin). Experience working on Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) using JIRA or similar defect tracking tools. Job Duties Essential Daily Duties Provide 2nd level engineering support for RMLS. Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and scripts. Collaborate with developers, QA Analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. Identify, document, and track defects found during testing. Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure software reliability, security, and performance in real-time environments. Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings to provide test updates and metrics. Assist with manual testing as needed. Assist with RMLS troubleshooting and Help Desk support. Work Environment Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule and occasional non-standard work hours. Occasional travel (less than 5%). Cubicle environment.
