Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Data Analyst in Charlotte, NC. Summary: The Business Data Analyst will support infrastructure lifecycle management and asset optimization across data center environments. This role blends analytical rigor with project coordination, focusing on forecasting end-of-life (EOL) cycles, managing asset data through CMDB (Cherwell), and improving processes for storage and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of hardware lifecycle management and the ability to transform data into actionable insights through SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
Business Data Analyst will perform data collection, forecasting, and analysis for hardware lifecycle management, including storage, servers, and workplace infrastructure
Maintain and enhance asset data accuracy within CMDB (Cherwell)
Coordinate projects such as the Storage Replacement Project and data center scheduling initiatives
Partner with hardware, operations, and platform teams to track progress and align asset management activities
Create dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to support infrastructure decision-making
Design and document workflows and processes using Lucidchart or Visio
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline lifecycle management and reporting activities
Requirements Experience building visualizations and reports in Tableau
Working knowledge of CMDB and Cherwell preferred
Solid understanding of data center infrastructure, hardware lifecycle (EOL cycles), and storage/server environments
Proficient in SQL (intermediate to advanced querying)
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and large dataset management
Skilled in workflow design and process improvement documentation
Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and operational teams
Preferred Skills Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure programs
Familiarity with asset lifecycle management methodologies or ITIL practices
Exposure to automation or data pipeline concepts for asset data management
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
