Senior Amazon Connect & Generative AI Engineer (Contract – Long‑Term, Onsite)

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX / Columbus, OH

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows, Lambda integrations, and precision routing.
• Build conversational AI interfaces using Amazon Lex and integrate large language models via Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agent, and Bedrock AgentCore.
• Develop and optimize serverless functions (Python, Node.js, Java) to extend Connect functionality.
• Implement and tune Amazon Connect Precision Routing to improve SLAs.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders for requirements gathering and status reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with AWS serverless development and Lambda.
• Deep knowledge of Amazon Connect SDK, APIs, and contact flow design.
• Proficiency in Amazon Lex chatbot development and multi‑turn conversational flows.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agent, and Bedrock AgentCore for generative AI in contact centers.
• Strong skills in LLM prompt engineering (Claude, Llama, OpenAI).
• Experience with Python, Node.js, or Java in AWS environments.
