Job Overview

The Warehouse DC Supervisor is responsible for supervising all areas of Warehouse Operations in a Distribution Center including, but not limited to, clerks, pallet builders, checkers, loaders, forklift drivers, etc. By providing leadership to the team, training, evaluating Warehouse Personnel and Processes, and maintaining the ability to provide expertise and hands‑on assistance in any area of Warehouse Operations when required. The Supervisor is responsible for performance management, leading interviews of potential candidates, providing direction, and supporting any specific area of responsibility designated by the Warehouse DC Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse teammates to ensure the safe and successful completion of all related daily warehouse activities and operations.
• Oversee and delegate training of warehouse personnel. Verify all applicable Warehouse processes are followed.
• Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for hourly teammates. Document and deliver performance management discussions including disciplinary documents.
• Communicate with other departments and stakeholders regarding process improvements, quality, Out‑of‑Stocks, Late Loads, etc.
• Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to lead, coach, teach, and train in a manner that aligns with Company Purpose.
• Extensive knowledge of all Warehouse Processes and Warehouse Systems.
• Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and think proactively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced atmosphere while walking and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes.
• Ability to adapt to needs of varied work areas throughout the day and meet minimum expectations.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions from computer screen.
• Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages.
• Ability to work/lead in a noisy and non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
• Intentional self‑starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value‑add opportunities.
• Flexibility in schedules/hours as business demands.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience supervising or leading people in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification.

Work Environment

Noisy and non‑temperature‑controlled environment including high and low temperature variations.
