Overview
The Sr. Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for salaried roles at Astec and serves as the driving force in sourcing, finding, and helping to select exceptional talent. You will manage recruitment for openings across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Human Resources, and other disciplines. This role requires constant engagement with hiring managers and internal customers and candidates, with a focus on strategic planning, hands-on recruiting, and relationship-building to deliver excellence at every stage of the candidate journey.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
- Strategic Talent Sourcing: Identify and find top talent through innovative sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and niche industry platforms.
- Business Partner Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers and HR to understand talent needs and develop recruitment strategies aligned with company goals.
- Candidate Evaluation: Lead intake meetings and conduct interviews to assess candidate skills and ensure the best talent is selected.
- Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy: Champion initiatives to build diverse candidate pipelines and promote inclusive hiring practices.
- Data-Driven Insights: Use recruitment metrics to refine strategies, measure success, and make data-backed recommendations for improvement.
- Enhance Employer Branding: Position the company as an employer of choice by showcasing commitment to innovation, excellence, and diversity.
- Deliver Exceptional Candidate Experiences: Ensure every interaction is positive, from the initial contact through onboarding.
- Recruiting KPI and Goal Management: Manage base pay and performance-based compensation that rewards recruitment successes.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of professional recruiting experience preferred.
Core Skills
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and common recruiting tools (e.g., LinkedIn, job boards).
- Understand talent needs and develop recruitment strategies aligned with company goals.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Technology And Analytics
- Competency in HRIS, ATS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience leveraging data to advise recruitment strategies.

Travel Requirements
Approximately 10% travel.
