Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist, under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, is an integral member of the Human Resources team at the facility. This position’s primary function is to coordinate the flow of the Human Resources department by supporting the HR Director, Generalist, Recruiter, Leadership and Employees.
Essential Functions
- Professional, effective and appropriate communication with co-worker, employees, non-employees and the general public; demonstrating customer service excellence through application of positive language principles, appropriate response and use of constructive problem-solving techniques which foster positive outcomes.
- Handles in person and phone inquiries from employees and visitors and serving as the receptionist for the Human Resources Department.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the facility and its Human Resources policies.
- Maintains accurate and continued documentation assuring current standards and policies are being met.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; and training and development.
- Responsible for administration of facilities badging system.
- Duties include but are not limited to: i.e. taking badge photos, ordering badges

Education
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, is required
- Associate Degree, Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- None required
Experience
- Two to four years of Human Resources or relevant business-related experience is required
