Pay and Hours

Pay is $23.43/Hour to start and $27.13/Hour after the first year. Hours: Monday – Friday, Dayshift.

Position Summary

Driving a Non CDL vehicle between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight at dock‑height.

Essential Functions

• Drive a Non CDL vehicle safely while transporting freight between terminals.
• Load and unload the vehicle, either independently or with dockworkers; freight handling equipment may be used where available.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight through strapping or other methods as required.
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum age of 21.
• High school completion or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with 3 years of driving experience.
• Class C endorsement if in Illinois or #2 endorsement if in Indiana.
• No record of DUI, OWI, or reckless driving in the past 5 years.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen.
• Consent to a pre‑employment drug screen and 10‑year work‑history check.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations in English.
• Excellent attendance.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Gripping, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 100 pounds.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds from ground level to 45”; lifting at waist level or 36”.
• Front carry up to 100 pounds for 250 feet.
• Push/pull up to 60 pounds of horizontal force.
• Sitting, standing, and walking frequently; standing for 10 hours per day.
• Climbing, squatting, crouching, balancing, and kneeling occasionally.
• Exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, gas, fumes, and chemicals.
• Use of vision, hearing, and smell during vehicle operation and freight handling.
