  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (PST)

Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, delivering compassionate and professional phlebotomy services to patients. This role involves collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the collection process. The PSR I works under limited supervision, following established procedures and upholding the highest standards of clinical accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
  • Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation while protecting confidentiality.
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and build trust.
  • Follow all infection control, quality, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform data entry, specimen tracking, and verification.
  • Provide coverage as needed, including weekends, holidays, or overtime shifts.
  • Promote a positive company image and ensure an excellent patient experience.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
  • 1+ years of experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments.
  • Keyboard/data entry proficiency required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Education & Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification required in Washington State.
