Position: Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Surgery
Key Details
Start Date: ASAP / As Soon As Credentialed (ASAC)
Schedule: Full-time; Sunday-Saturday work week
Call Coverage: Regular weekday, weekend, holiday, and 24-hour call rotation
4x10 OR 5x8 hour shifts with call expectation of one-two nights night per week and every third weekend
Overtime: After 40 hours
Training: 4 hours of unpaid EPIC training (test-out option available - 2 hours)
Licenses & Certifications
Board Certified - Required
Oregon State NP License - Required
NPDB Self Query - Required at time of submission
Experience & Skills
Proficiency with EMR (EPIC)
Ability to work independently and perform effectively in stressful or emergent situations
Experience in orthopedic surgery, including diagnostic and minor surgical procedures
Ability to provide orthopedic call coverage in both inpatient and emergency department settings
Clinical Duties
Collaborate with attending physicians on patient care and daily rounds
Perform diagnostic studies (EMG, ECG, X-ray, CT, MRI, bone scans)
Perform and assist with orthopedic procedures such as wound management, tendon repair, joint injections, fracture reductions, splint and cast applications
Act as primary orthopedic call provider for Hospital
Develop and implement treatment plans, write orders, and complete documentation (H&Ps, discharge summaries, progress notes)
Availability Requirements
Full-time availability required
Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
