The SVP, Analytics will support the Chief Analytics Officer’s mission to drive business transformation through data across Horizon’s client roster. They will oversee the teams that turn data into actionable information and insights to inform and support strategy, channel planning, and activation solutions. To provide value to stakeholders, this person will understand Horizon’s business and the breadth of clients we serve. The SVP will work closely with the VPs who manage client teams, the SVP of Analytics Operations, and the Advanced Analytics group. They will collaborate with the Chief Data Officer and Chief Information Officer to support collecting, combining, maintaining, and visualizing integrated data. The role will lead training and development of internal talent and be a key leader in new business pitches to grow the client roster. The role involves cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of parties including clients. Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities are necessary for success. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Consult and work with internal client leads and clients to determine their “burning questions” and offer analytic-based solutions within and across all media channels.

Provide thought leadership and subject-matter leadership in designing analytic methodology and approaches.

Oversee the individual client teams to ensure they offer optimal solutions aligned with Horizon’s analytic vision and best practices.

Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team to speak knowledgeably to clients and prospects about our products and solutions.

Work with the Analytics Operations group and the Chief Data Officer to apply automation and technology to increase efficiency and enable scaling.

Lead and operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines, and concurrent work streams.

Support talent growth by providing experiences that enrich each individual’s development.

Collaborate with other key executives on client needs and strategic imperatives.

Actively participate in new business RFIs, pitches, and presentations. Involvement ranges from analytic credentials to detailed, specific solution recommendations.

Key Relationships

Internal: Analytic client-assigned teams led by a VP, immersed in each client’s business.

Analytic Client Service teams (Brand) coordinating with SVPs/EVPs.

Activation (TV, digital, print, etc.)—develop tools and systems to improve targeted, effective buying and bring more automation to daily work.

Insights (Channel and Consumer)—connect and merge data into current and new proprietary tools.

Data team—support data warehouse, data lake, and identify needs for improved analytics.

External: Vendors: Evaluate and purchase software.

Clients: Distill complex information into clear communications for meetings and presentations.

Knowledge and Skills Required

12+ years of experience in analytics and/or business intelligence.

2+ years of media or creative agency experience preferred.

Digital investment experience a plus.

3+ years in a senior leadership role.

Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Marketing Analytics preferred.

Understanding of predictive modelling, media mix optimization, and statistics.

Experience with statistical software packages.

Demonstrated ability to work with complex data to create insights.

Proven ability to communicate data-based concepts to a non-technical audience.

Salary Range $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
