JOB SUMMARY As an Human Resources Specialist you will provide advice and guidance to managers concerning various HRD matters. Research and analyze existing policies, reports, guidelines, directives, laws, or statutes to solve problems.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
MAJOR DUTIES GS-7
Analyze results from surveys, interviews feasibility studies, and/or risk assessments, and assist with selected segments of Human Resources project plans.
Draft portions of reports or responses.
Participate in oral briefings to management.
GS-9: In addition to above
Provides advice and guidance to managers concerning various HRD matters.
Participates as a team member in studies or projects to define problems, identify issues, assess impact and arrive to a conclusion to improve HR practices.
Researches and analyzes existing policies, reports, guidelines, directives, laws, statutes, and available resources to solve problems.

Positive Education Requirement Candidates must have received or will be receiving an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD degree between May 2024 and June 2026 with a GPA no less than 2.95 on a 4.0 scale at the time of graduation. Veterans have up to six years after graduating or completing their degree to apply (May 2020-June 2026).
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
Education All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
GS-7 : Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with superior academic achievement or one (1) full year of graduate level education. Superior academic achievement is the completion of all the requirements of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average of 2.95 or higher as recorded on an official transcript, or as based on courses completed during the final two years of the curriculum, or (3) honor society membership.
GS-9 : Applicant must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
